PENCIL PRODUCTION

Although the pencil´s technical design is quite straightforward, most people have no idea how the lead ends up inside the wood. 

The explanation for this is surprisingly simple, as the wooden barrel actually consists of two parts (slats), i.e. an upper part (upper slat) and and a lower part (bottom slat) embedding the lead.
