The 8th generation - Anton Wolfgang Graf von Faber-Castell (born 1941)

In March 2000, FABER-CASTELL and the IG Metall trade union jointly sign a comprehensive and internationally binding "Social Charter".

The 15th production facility of the FABER-CASTELL group is built in China (Kanton) in 2001.

2002:

Opening of a new factory in Malaysia. Erection of the world´s largest pencil in the "Pencil Tower".
