THE INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTION STAGES

 
 

Soft and dense wood is stored, seasoned and cut into "slats". 

 

 

 

A groove is carved out of the upper and bottom slat to accomodate the lead.

 

 

 

A special lead glue is injected into the groove.
