WOOD FROM OUR OWN PINE PLANTATIONS

• Every hour FABER-CASTELL grows 20 cubic metres of timber.
  
• 10,000 hectares of own pine plantations in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, near Prata.
  
• 1 million Caribbean Pine seedlings are replanted each year.
  
• Environmental seal of approval for "environmentally responsible, social beneficial and economically viable management of forests" (Forest Stewardship Council FSC)
  
• "Chain of Custody" certification (C.O.C.): warrants that the origin of the wood for pencils can be tracked and traced.
